The Paul Reed Smith McCarty Guitar

If I didn’t say that I wasn’t a bassist over eighty percent of my musical life… I would totally be lying! That being said, there is only one solid body electric guitar that I play… and that is the (made in Stevensville, Maryland USA) PRS McCarty (I currently own five). I’ve tried many guitars over the years and I’ve found that the Paul Reed Smith McCarty guitar is simply perfect for me. The scale length, string spacing and neck carve (there have been a few variations through the years) fits my left (fretting) hand like a glove. I can get the action super low (without buzz), the neck super straight (I personally don’t like much relief… only what is absolutely necessary) and the tone (to my ears) is exactly what I want a guitar to sound like.
